Radio Transmission / Frequencies
Radio transmission takes place within one of the so-called ISM frequency bands. These bands are useful for applications in the ISM sector (Industrial, Science, Medical). Therefore it follows that the transmission cannot be exclusive and that interference on the frequency band cannot be entirely excluded. We provide all equipment with an FTZ radio engineering type approval certificate.
27 und 40 MHz:
Technical progress has caused the two frequency bands from the first days of remote control engineering to forfeit their »right to existence «. Since demand for these frequencies has become practically non-existent, ELDAT has discontinued production accordingly.
433 MHz:
The 433 MHz frequency band (frequency range 433.05 to 434.79 MHz) is the frequency band most widely used throughout the world. The transmission duration of radio transmitters with a transmission power of 1 mW is not limited, so that continuous transmission is possible. At higher transmission powers (10 mW), the duty cycle is 10% in order to minimize interferences in this frequency band.
ELDAT offers a broad product range using the frequency 433.92 MHz for different applications.
868 MHz:
The harmonised European frequency band of 868 MHz, subdivided into many subbands with varying duty cycles, is ideal for more demanding tasks. Because of a lower amount of interference longer ranges and a higher availability become possible.
ELDAT uses the frequency 868.30 MHz in the subband 868.0 to 868.6 MHz with a duty cycle < 1% for the Easywave technology (FSK modulation) as well as for ASK-modulated RF products.
315, 345, 426 und 915 MHz:
These frequencies are mainly found in America and in some parts of Asia (Japan, Hong Kong). In Europe they are not approved.
ELDAT develops and produces RF products using these frequencies for the non european market.
2.4 GHz:
The worldwide approved 2.4 GHz band is used for local area networks in the field of IT applications (Wireless LAN, Bluetooth) and for picture and audio transmissions. It is also increasingly used to automate the control of multiple home systems.
* Not all frequencies can be used everywhere.
